Jekyll Island Club Resort Wedding, Jekyll Island, GA | Beth & Jason

Beth and Jason's Jekyll Island Club Resort Wedding was hands down the most picture perfect wedding weekend! It was our first time on Jekyll Island and we've been dreaming about returning ever since! If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing and low key environment for your wedding weekend, this is the place to be! With old oak trees draped in Spanish moss and palm trees set against Jekyll Creek, it was truly a dream location!

Beth and Jason chose to have their wedding on the same weekend as the Jekyll Island Shrimp and Grits Festival, so it was only natural that we started the day photoing the couple as they checked out the festival, sampling some of the delicious food and dancing to one of the bands on the main stage.

Once they had their fill of shrimp and grits we all headed back to the Jekyll Island Club Resort so that they could begin getting ready. Beth got ready at Crane Cottage and Jason got ready at Cherokee Cottage, both charming historic buildings on the resort property. We made use of the oak trees and Spanish moss for some of the detail photos, finding a perfect tree to showcase Beth's beautiful dress!

Their adorable puppy was the flower pup and proudly wore a flower collar. She very willingly posed for several pictures once she was ready and it was clear she took her duties seriously. :)

After Beth, her sisters and their parents shared a toast to celebrate the occasion it was time to walk down the aisle! The ceremony was held outside of the Crane Cottage in a lovely courtyard. The sun was just beginning to lower to cast a lovely warm glow on the ceremony. A string quartet serenaded Beth as her parents escorted her down the aisle where Jason stood, beaming, as he watched Beth gracefully glide down the aisle towards him. It was a truly lovely ceremony as they were married against an arbor loaded with fresh flowers.

The cocktail hour was held on the great lawn outside of the Crane Cottage. Jason, Beth and their guests were treated to an epic sunset over Jekyll Creek! You could see everyone hurrying down the hill towards the water to try and take their photos against the gorgeous sunset!

The evening continued on with dinner and dancing. The dinner took place in an interior courtyard of Crane Cottage, under a sky full of bright stars. After touching speeches by their family and friends it was time for dancing! After the first dances it was time for the hora, which always provides some pretty epic photos! The looks of surprise paired with a little bit of nervousness as the bride and groom are hoisted into the air are always fun! Our favorites are when the parents are invited to get in on the fun because the looks of joy from their faces are priceless.

The evening ended with a short second line parade from the Crane Cottage to the Cherokee Cottage, where their friends continued celebrating them into the night.

It was a truly joyful, relaxing and absolutely beautiful wedding day that Beth and Jason are sure to treasure forever!

Congratulations Beth and Jason! We wish you a lifetime of love and many adventures together!
