Kelly & Caden's West Point Wedding

Kelly and Caden’s West Point wedding was absolute perfection! 

On May 27, just days after Caden’s graduation from West Point Academy, he and Kelly’s family and closest friends gathered to witness the marriage of such a kind and beautiful couple. 

We first met Kelly back in 2012. She was a bridesmaid in her cousin Katie’s wedding in Kansas City and we were the lucky ones that got to be there to photo it! Seven years later and here we are, capturing what has to be one of the sweetest and most joyous weddings! 

Kelly and her bridesmaids spent the morning helping each other perfect their hair and makeup. She was joined by some of her oldest and dearest friends, two of whom she would be referring to as sisters in just a few hours! 😊

Her bridesmaids and her mother helped lace her into her beautiful wedding dress. These are some of our favorite moments during the getting ready process. Capturing the emotion and caring way friends and family help make sure everything about you looks perfect is a highlight for us!

The ceremony was held at the beautiful Catholic chapel on West Point’s campus. 

The newlyweds exited the chapel under the saber arch. A kiss was required in order to pass, which they did gladly. :)

After portraits in the chapel we set out to take advantage of all of the beautiful opportunities for portraits on campus. West Point is an incredibly beautiful school and there are so many amazing areas to choose from! 

The view overlooking the Hudson River was incredible and served as a perfect backdrop for this gorgeous bridal party!

The reception was at the 49er Lodge. The guests were treated to a pizza buffet from a favorite local pizza place. After everyone was fed the couple was showered with touching toasts from their bridal party. The cake was carefully cut with a saber, as is tradition and then the couple and their friends spent the rest of the night dancing and celebrating. 

Kelly and Caden were sent off into the night through a tunnel of sparklers. After stopping for a kiss they climbed into the car and were off to begin the rest of their lives together!
